Garvestone Garden Safari
First Garvestone & Thuxton Open Garden Safari – Sunday 28 June
We are delighted to announce the first ever Garvestone & Thuxton Open Garden Safari, taking place on Sunday 28 June, 10-4pm.
This brand new event will invite visitors to explore a range of private gardens across Garvestone and Thuxton, celebrating local creativity, village life, and a shared love of gardens. From large plots to smaller hidden gems, every garden has a story to tell.
The Open Garden Safari is being held to raise vital funds to repair and reopen the much loved play area in Garvestone. Anyone who has used the play area will know what a brilliant and much valued resource it is for local children, families, and the wider community. Funds raised will help ensure it can be safely enjoyed again.
How can you help? There are lots of ways to get involved:
• Open your garden – gardens of all sizes and styles are welcome
• Volunteer as a steward on the day
• Bake cakes for refreshments
• Donate plants or divisions for a plant stall
• Help with advertising to spread the word
Whether you have time, skills, or resources to share, every contribution will make a difference and help make the day a success.
Visitors can look forward to a relaxed and enjoyable day out, discovering beautiful local gardens while supporting an important community project.
Tickets will be available on the day to be purchased from Garvestone Village Hall.
Further details about participating gardens and visitor information, maps will be available on the day.
