How to book the new village hall:
Bookings for the main hall should be submitted using the online booking forms below. Contact Roy or Jackie Bryant on 01362 850997 to book the open space or car parking/toilets only, or to check availability of the village hall. They hold the keys for the hall which will need to be collected & returned to them at ‘Meadowsweet’, Dereham Road, Garvestone. Please phone them the day before to arrange for key collection.
Hall bookings are on a first come, first serve basis. The hire fee is payable on the return of the keys, but some Hirers may be asked for a deposit in advance, e.g. for all day bookings, teenage or 21st birthday parties. There is an additional fee for hire of projection facilities.
Online booking is available, please use the forms provided, or download a paper version for completion and posting. Bookings can only be accepted from persons aged 25 years or older.
The village hall has public liability insurance and employer’s liability insurance covering non-profit making organisations and volunteers, but commercial hirers must provide their own cover.
Bouncy castles must be insured by the hirer, and supervised at all times.
Garvestone Village Hall (New Build) Ltd has been granted a Premises Licence for regulated entertainment during the opening hours of the village hall. It does not have a Premises Licence for the supply or sale of alcohol, and hirers will need to apply for a temporary event notice to be licensed for this.
Hirers must comply with the Company’s Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy, Health & Safety Policy and Equal Opportunities Policy.
The timetable of regular users and the diary should be consulted before making a booking.
Hire rates are increasing from 1 April 2012. Please note on Monday and Thursday mornings, the Post Office hires the lobby and post-room. The Children’s Play area is always open to the public during daylight hours.
Please read the Conditions of hire before booking. Confirmation of your booking will be by email.
