We recognise that reduction, reuse and recycling are important measures to reduce waste, and we will encourage the reduction of consumption of fossil fuels to cut greenhouse gases.
We are committed to:
· the reduction of food waste by careful planning;
· the reduction of energy and water consumption;
· reusing materials where appropriate;
· improving the recycling of glass;
· taking other recyclable materials for home collection;
· composting grass, hedge clippings.
Please would each user group, before leaving the village hall, ensure that:
· all heaters and lights are turned off, and windows closed;
· appliances are unplugged, and the cooker switched off at the main switch;
· no water is left running;
· put rubbish in the blue bin, take recyclable material home for kerbside collection;
· make sure all doors are secure.
Please would users of the public park ensure that:
· dog walking is confined to the area 10 m from the boundaries;
· dog waste is picked up in bags provided and deposited in the appropriate containers;
· litter is placed in the bins provided.
