Come for a roll up on the bowling green! In the summer, Garvestone Bowls club plays two or three evenings a week competing in two leagues. There are club competitions, social roll-ups and an after-school club starting this year.
With a kitchen and other facilities, the hall can be hired for private functions. Roy and Jackie Bryant are the key holders and will take your bookings. Find out how to book.
You cannot miss this distinctive pink building! In the centre of Garvestone, it is next to Garvestone primary school on the Dereham Road, near St. Margaret’s Church.
Parking facilities are shared with the school, and the bottle bank in the car park is for clear, brown and green bottles. Please use it, as it brings in income for the village hall.
Garvestone and Thuxton Village Hall has been on this site since the early 1920s. It came originally from Narborough airfield, but new and better facilities are at the planning stage. Meanwhile, there is an ongoing programme of refurbishment to maintain the existing facilities. New heaters have been installed and the floor re-varnished.
This is open for business in the village hall each Monday and Thursday morning between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. You can also buy fresh bread and cakes from a local bakery.
