Quiz night on Friday, 26th. March!!
Eyes down at 7.30 p.m. Teams of up to six people, £2.0 per head including refreshments. Please book your team on the sheet in the Village Hall from the beginning of March.

Thanks to a grant from Comma, Defra’s Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund, and sponsorship by Norfolk Rural Community Council, work started over half term on the ‘enabling contract’ to provide access to the site for the new village hall and various ground works.

The hall and kitchen remain, but the toilet block and sheds have been demolished (men in white suits removed the asbestos!), and a new water main has been installed across the car park up to the new bowling green.

Drainage to serve the new hall has been installed down the public park to the ditch, and the temporary services to the bowling green have been re-routed below ground.

We hope to keep the existing village hall running during the construction period, and temporary facilities are now ready for use. External lighting has been provided, and a nest box for the swallows will provide a new home for our summer migrants. Space will be slightly limited by the storage of the community library in the hall, but everything else is being stored in the temporary container.
